A steep and cul-de-sac village
0
0
The lower part of the village of Saint-Jeannet constitutes its oldest district and the least practicable other than on foot. It consists of calades, steep streets paved with pebbles typical of Provençal villages. Some, like Rue de la Tour, are even dotted with steps preventing all traffic. The upper town of Saint-Jeannet, more recent, has wider and more regular streets that allow the passage of car drivers. They must nevertheless keep in mind that the village forms a cul-de-sac.
