A vast agricultural landscape
0
0
The upper parts of the Valensole plateau in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence are home to large flat expanses of lavandin and cereal crops. The region also has almond trees, remains of old orchards (apple trees), truffle oaks, and olive trees on the sunny slopes. Farm sheds and silos dot the cultivated land here and there. Their visual impact is all the greater as this territory is flat and wide open. This agricultural landscape of significant scenic value constitutes a true postcard of Haute-Provence and the spearhead of local tourism.
