A high-precision work

In the Lalique workshop, the operators cut the surface of the crystal directly with a belt grinder and a water jet. It takes a great deal of know-how and experience to work on pieces that are ultimately sold for more than 5,000 euros each. Each cutter has a basin filled with water in which he cleans the piece before checking the cut that has just been made. These moulded crystal vases still require a lot of work to enhance their carvings and remove traces of the mould and other small imperfections. A high-precision work is required to obtain the Lalique quality.
