A territory of forests

0
The vast and dense forests of Franche-Comté are an ideal place of life for the boreal lynx whose territory can extend over 62 to 248 square miles (100 to 400 km²). It alternately occupies its different areas that it uses for hunting or raising its cubs. It defends its home range against its congeners of the same sex and warns them thanks to two types of markings, jugal (by cheek rubbing on supports such as tree stumps) and anogenital (by urinary sprinkling on substrates such as tree trunks or rocks).
