The Lot department demonstrates a great diversity of agricultural production (5,000 different farms) spread over 40% of its territory. The region also emphasizes sustainable development and responsible agriculture. Many AOC products (wines, cheeses, meats, nuts, strawberries, melons, truffles) come from farms committed to quality agriculture. The forest covers 50% of the Lot, and the Causses in its center welcome the transhumance of sheep and cattle each year.
