Saint-Martin-du-Canigou Abbey is a Romanesque abbey founded around the year 1000 by Guifred II, Count of Conflent and Cerdagne. Nestled in the heart of the Canigou massif, the abbey is renowned as a masterpiece of early Romanesque art. It has been entrusted to the Community of the Beatitudes by the Bishop of Perpignan since 1988 and welcomes numerous visitors, walkers, and pilgrims throughout the year. This place of worship also accomodates people wishing to experience spiritual renewal for a few days.
