The site of Cap Camarat on the Var coast is protected by the Natural Spaces Conservatory of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. With the municipality of Ramatuelle, this structure works on the restoration, revegetation, conservation, and monitoring of the cape and endeavors in rehabilitating and enhancing its heritage buildings and the environmental awareness of the public. The natural site is home to a rich terrestrial and maritime fauna, composed of more than eighty species of birds, numerous insects and reptiles (including the Hermann's Tortoise), groupers, or sea cicadas, as well as significant floristic biodiversity.
