The village of Pierrefeu-du-Var has been listed as a registered site of the Ministry of Culture since 1943. Such designation applies to a natural or built space of artistic, historical, scientific, legendary, or picturesque character that requires preservation. The medieval origins of Pierrefeu-du-Var date back to the 11th century, but its territory bears the traces of a protohistoric establishment dating from the highest Antiquity.
