The natural site of Cap Bénat extends in the southern part of the town of Bormes-les-Mimosas, which manages it. It gives pride of place to woodlands of cork oaks and forests of Aleppo and umbrella pines thanks to its classification as a landscape since 1975. Such ranking acknowledges the landscape exception of a site that becomes, as such, part of the national heritage. It concerns less than 2% of France's national territory.
