France produces 80% of plant fibers in Europe, more specifically flax, hemp, and miscanthus by order of importance. Their textiles have been used for millennia to craft painters' canvases, boats' sails, ropes, clothes, household linen, etc. Today, innovative outlets are elsewhere, mainly concerning fibers, and have increasingly attractive environmental advantages. The approach of its cultivation and the ecological awakening of consciences have made flax more and more interesting.
