The Cornille-Havard foundry is open to visitors. They can thus discover the backstage of an ancestral expertise, the casting of bells. A tradition anchored in Villedieu-les-Poêles since the end of the Middle Ages, of which the company’s master casters are the heirs. But also a 21st century company that uses state-of-the-art technology. More than a hundred monumental bells are made each year in this workshop built in 1865. The founders will demonstrate their expertise, but be aware that it takes many years of training to reach this level of perfection.
