Saint-Michel chapel is today a walled-up sanctuary forbidden to visit, just like the Saint-Michel islet on which disembarking is regulated. Religious services are sometimes celebrated near the chapel from boats gathered around the islet, and festive or cultural events are organized around the site following the same procedures.
