At the foot of Notre-Dame d'Alençon Basilica, the birthplace of Thérèse of Lisieux also houses the sanctuary of her parents, Louis and Zélie. They were canonized together in 2015 following miracles recognized by the Church. The spouses lost four of their nine children but never departed from their ardent faith. A chapel shelters their relics, and their house is also a place of lodging and catering for families and pilgrims.
