A meticulously organized apiary

0
All of a beekeeper's hives are called an apiary. Whether pastoral or sedentary, the apiary must be well maintained and well organized to provide bee colonies with living conditions favorable to their development and the quality of the honey harvested. The choice of the location of the apiary is essential to the success of the beekeeping season. It must meet many environmental criteria (calm, clear, sunny, sheltered from the wind, dry, etc.) while being located near a water point and a wide range of plants, trees, and honey flowers with staggered flowering over the year. The hives in the apiary are then placed high up to avoid humidity and oriented so that each can catch the sun's rays as early as possible. Slightly tilted forward to facilitate the evacuation of waste, they all have their entrance on the same side.
