Nestled in the wooded hills of the Massif des Maures, the village of Collobrières in the Var department tells its story through the bourgeois architecture of the mansions that dot its main boulevard. It recalls the history of the once flourishing local industries organized around cork shops, sawmills, and lead, copper, and iron mines. The medieval houses are, on the other hand, grouped at the foot of the ruins of the old church listed as a Historical Monument.
