A rich architectural heritage

It goes without saying that Paris is monumental in terms of its size (40,5 sq. miles or 105.4 km²) but it is above all its architectural heritage that makes it one of the most visited capitals in the world. The banks of the Seine are classified by Unesco, as most of Paris’ historic monuments are located along the river. In addition to the mythical Eiffel Tower, the entire history of Paris and France is on display. The Petit and Grand Palais are reminiscent of the era of the great World Fairs. The Haussmannian architecture of the avenues and squares has inspired many South American capitals and transformed urban planning throughout the world.
