The 55 cows and 18 oxen of the Naturellement Normande farm near Vire in the Calvados department benefit from a 100% grass diet, summer and winter alike. The farm is committed to a completely organic process that lets them graze on most of the 197 acres (80 ha) of the property. The rest is devoted to hay that would be dried to feed them in winter. The grounds have been cleared of all pesticides and unnatural fertilizers, a change that ensures renowned quality of the milk.
