The beach of Pampelonne, on Saint-Tropez Peninsula, has been redeveloped since 2019 in order to preserve the coastline. A 37-acres (15 ha) dune cordon was established to limit maritime erosion. The area is now home to sand oyat, sea holly, dune spurge, sand lily, sea knotweed, or branched romulea.
