A steadily booming port district
0
0
The port district of Nice extends south-east of the city between Castle Hill to the west, Mont Alban and Mont Boron to the east, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. Since its birth in the 18th century with the construction of the city's first port in the marshy area of the Lympia spring, it has experienced a perpetual boom. Such phenomenon happened thanks to the multiplication and renovation of its basins, the restoration of its buildings' facades, the creation of pedestrian zones, and the opening of a green corridor linking the Masséna and Garibaldi squares.
