From the top of its 330 metres, the Eiffel Tower’s antennas allow TDF (Télédiffusion de France) to broadcast nearly 30 digital terrestrial television (DTT) channels and 32 FM radio stations to 12 million people in the Paris region. Currently, 6 antennas broadcast FM radio stations. The recent addition of a DAB+ antenna on top of the existing antennas will allow radio transmission in digital format. By spring 2023, the transmitter will be operational and will be able to broadcast up to thirteen stations on a single frequency, with excellent sound quality. The Ile-de-France region will be covered within a radius of 70 km from the Eiffel Tower.
