A nocturnal and solitary predator

0
The Eurasian lynx is a solitary feline, except during the rut. It goes hunting at dusk and attacks roe deer, foxes, hares, small rodents, and birds. It hides its prey and consumes it for about a week. The lynx's eyesight is sharp and its round pupils allow it to spot a hawk 2,5 miles (4 km) away. When it has exhausted the preys of a territory, it moves on to another and returns there later after having carefully marked it through olfactory traces and scratches on trunks.
