A summer lookout post

0
At the foot of the Croix de Provence, a small lookout post is used for three months each summer and stored in the watchmen's main building the rest of the year. It was redone in 2006 so that it could be dismantled and transported without a helicopter. In the summer season, the lookout post is occupied by watchmen from the SDIS (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service) in permanent contact with the firefighters. Their tasks include observing the surrounding area, locating the outbreaks of fire, and monitoring their development.
