The Alésia Interpretation Center stands on the site of the MuséoParc Alésia near camp K brought to light by archaeologists. This circular building aiming to recall the siege suffered by Vercingétorix blends into the landscape thanks to its facade made of larch wood bastaings. It is designed in the Anglo-Saxon way, with interactive tours that allow visitors to relive a crucial moment in the history of France and to understand its issues by experiencing them. It further features an extensive permanent exhibition of antiques and facsimiles; depictions of Gallic warriors and Roman legionnaires; dioramas, films, and models; multimedia terminals, and reconstructions of war machines.
