Weavers belong to the Ploceidae family, one of the numerous families of the very large order of Passerines which includes the majority of small common birds (swallows, magpies, sparrows ...) or colorful ones populating aviaries. Passerines are distinguished by their ability to sing with varying skill according to their family. There are 106 species of weavers around the world, most of them African, which weave more or less well. Weavers of different genera differ mainly in their morphological and behavioral characteristics and the environments they frequent.
