The Granville museum dedicated to Christian Dior is housed in the couturier's childhood home. His mother, Madeleine, insisted on leaving the family's plush downtown apartment. The villa stands at the top of a cliff swept by the winds coming from the English Channel. Madeleine Dior surrounded it with a curtain of pine trees and hedges that allowed her to grow fragile flowers that are not found elsewhere. Pictures of the Dior Family show their attachment to the garden.
