The Maures forest, in the Var department, shelters the Chartreuse de la Verne monastery on the territory of the locality of Collobrières. It can be reached on foot by a stony path from the hamlet of Croix d'Anselme, located on a departmental road. After a climb covered by an oak grove, the path suddenly opens onto the imposing medieval priory extending in the heart of the Massif des Maures, with the Mediterranean sea in the background.
