The Dentelles de Montmirail extend over 1,235 acres (500 ha) and entirely or partially encompass twelve municipalities located within the massif or in its immediate periphery. The localities of Suzette, La Roque-Alric, and Lafare are implanted in the center of the Dentelles, while those of Malaucène, Vaison-la-Romaine, and Crestet extend on their northern foothills. Le Barroux and Beaumes-de-Venise stretch over the south of the massif and Sablet, Séguret, Girondas (photo) and Vacqueyras on the western part.
