A dam lake in the middle of the hills

The Trapan dam lake extends on the Corniche des Maures at the western edge of the locality of Bormes-les-Mimosas towards La Londe-les-Maures, in the Var department. Commissioned in 1969, it collects water from the 457-acres (185 ha) watershed of the Pellegrin, a small 3.4 mi (5.5 km) long coastal river. Along with the Verne dam in La Môle and the Escarcets lake in Le Cannet-des-Maures, it is one of the three main water reservoirs of the Maures Massif.
