The Villes d'Art et d'Histoire (Towns of Art and History) label is granted to municipalities that maintain and highlight their heritage. Dieppe has received it and has signed an agreement with the State that commits it to promote the richness of its built, artisanal, industrial, and natural heritage. Its seaside architecture, its port, and its rich maritime past as well as its castle-museum are all testimonies of the past that it highlights through exhibitions and tourist activities.
