The Domaine du Rayol was sublimated into an atypical contemporary garden of significant modernity by the landscape designer Gilles Clément during its restoration in 1989. Organized according to the major concepts of mixing, transition, and transformation instilled by its designer, the Jardin des Méditerranées is a planetary garden in movement. The space is laid out in such a way that nature is not constrained by geometry and that it appears as the genetic reservoir of the planet and the space of the future.
