La Grotte islet, or Ragot islet named after its former owner, is one of the islets of Le Robert on the Atlantic coast of Martinique. This islet of 14 acres (5.70 ha), culminating at 128.6 ft (38 m) above sea level, extends over approximately 1,837 ft (560 m) in length for an approximate width of 685 ft (209 m). It is separated from Chancel islet, visible in the background, by an inlet about 492 ft (150 m) wide. Today owned by the State, La Grotte islet is uninhabited and accessible to the public with the exception of 14 % of its area corresponding to the six concessions for temporary occupation granted to individuals.
