Loup Garou islet is one of the ten islets of Baie du Robert in Martinique. This ovoid-shaped sandbank with a central reef surrounded by white sand beaches has been protected by a biotope protection order since 2002. Two main plant species share the islet: the seashore purslane thrives on the part exposed to the wind, while the milk wood, a small Euphorbiaceae, grows on the other half of the islet. Added to this are a few black rosemary and catalpa as well as two coconut trees grown from the burial of germinated nuts by a helicopter pilot in 1977.
