Renowned for its sandy basins, Madame islet covers an area of 7 acres (2.8 ha) south of Boisseau islet forming the eastern framework of Baie du Robert on the Atlantic coast of Martinique. This massive set of andesite flows culminating at 62 ft (19 m) above sea level is bordered by two convex and straight cliffs at its northeast and southeast ends. This islet with a global circular and conical configuration is covered with an abundant vegetation of red gum trees, country mulberry trees, seaside plum trees, pear trees, and ramial wood.
