A tribute to railway workers
0
0
The Cité du Train-Patrimoine SNCF, in Mulhouse, is the biggest railway museum in Europe. From the first steam locomotives to the latest TGV trains, the Cité du Train (City of Train) presents the evolution of trains and their uses. It exhibits a large collection of automotive equipment as well as prestigious historical pieces. It is also a tribute to railway workers, thanks to reconstructions that are as close to reality as possible. Steam locomotives from the heroic era rub shoulders with prestigious carriages such as those of the Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits or that of Emperor Napoleon III’s train.
