A tribute to Paris’ Place Vendôme

The extravagant Place Vendôme Lusail shopping complex pays homage to the famous square in the 1st arrondissement of Paris in its name, architecture and luxury. Designed at the end of the 17th century by architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart in the purest classical style, Place Vendôme was one of the five royal squares of the French capital. In Qatar, architects have retained the principle of the central square bordered by luxurious boutiques. But most of the 580 stores are located inside the building, lit by the natural light of thirteen huge glass domes. Glass windows all different from each other by their shape and finishes of which the 376,737 ft² (35,000 m²) are supported by steel structures.
