A hotspot for scuba diving
0
0
Thanks to its clear waters and depth, Lake Pavin is a hotspot for scuba diving training and diving equipment testing. The dives mainly take place in winter, outside of the arctic char fishing season. Whether the lake is frozen or not, the equipment and precautions for diving are almost the same all year round, as the water temperature is always cold. It indeed varies between 46.5° F (8° C) and nearly 32° F (0° C). Whatever the season, the divers should be careful not to get their regulators caught in the branches of dead trees.
