At the Haras National du Pin, the French Institute for Horses and Riding (IFCE) manages various activities relating to the world of thoroughbred horses. A broodmare farm has a cryobank of semen of the best stallions in the world. The Écuries du Bois train students in horse riding, saddlery, and driving. The Société des Courses du Pin manages the racecourse at La Bergerie, while INRA carries out bovine genetic researches over 1,359 acres (550 ha). The Centre de Valorisation de la Race Percheronne continues its studies at the stud farm for the improvement of the Percheron race.
