Przewalski horses (Equus ferus przewalskii), like their feral or domestic fellows, have a complex social functioning still to be entirely understood. They occupy a home range on which they find their resources. They divide into family herds or single male groups made up of foals and ousted old stallions which have lost their harem and chosen not to be left alone.
