Wild boars in excess

Between the lac Blanc (White lake) and the lac Noir (Black lake), the land forest of the two lakes covers 1,375 acres (637 ha). Creeping pines have been planted on the ridges while spruce trees protect the Orbey Valley from flooding. An increase in the number of wild boars on the summit has been observed for several years. They are the cause of many degradations and keep multiplying. It is therefore prohibited to feed them. They are often visible on the ridges surrounding the White lake or hidden in the bushes.
