Become a Public Administrative Establishment (EPA) by decree of July 2, 2015, the Haras National du Pin was detached from the property of the Institut Français du Cheval et de l'Équitation (French Institute for Horses and Riding) to be jointly managed by the Orne department, the Lower Normandy region, and the State. The estate continued to host the IFCE and welcomed the ONF (National Forest Office) as well as the INRA (National Institute of Agricultural Research). The dissolution of the Haras National du Pin Public Administrative Establishment and the transfer of all of its assets, rights, and obligations to the Orne department with provision to the IFCE and to the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment (INRAE) were decided very recently in 2021.
