A natural yet controled grassing

0
The vines of the Château Malherbe wine estate of Bormes-les-Mimosas are naturally grassed with endemic varieties. This partial under-row grass cover is combined with deep inter-row plowing. In wine-growing areas with a Mediterranean climate, this solution is preferred to the full grassing of the plots to avoid competition with the vines. The percentage of soil covered by grass is hence limited to 20 to 30%.
