The village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie benefits from a privileged location in the heart of the Verdon Regional Nature Park and on the territory of the UNESCO Geopark of Haute-Provence. Part of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in southeastern France, the locality attracts numerous visitors. They mostly come to enjoy its proximity to the large remarkable natural spaces of the Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte-Croix (background), but also of the Venascle and Valensole plateaus.
