An artistic landmark in Nancy

0
Between 1901 and 1902, Louis Majorelle had a villa constructed in the park he owned in Nancy. He desired it built in Art Nouveau style, peaking since the World Exposition in Paris, and brought together the most renowned artists from Nancy and Paris to shape it. In the process, they founded the School of Nancy that keeps instilling the techniques of Art Nouveau in its students. The Villa Majorelle stood alongside Majorelle's workshop and allowed him to display his creations to his future buyers.
