The Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park is - along with the Ballon des Vosges and the Morvan - one of the three regional nature parks in Bourgogne Franche-Comté and one of the fifty-four regional nature parks in France. Created on February 10, 1986 in the southwest of the Jura massif, it now covers nearly 178,000 hectares in three departments - Ain, Doubs and Jura - and two regions : Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. It borders the Jura Vaudois Regional Nature Park located in Switzerland.
