A couturier inspired by flowers

The Les Rhumbs villa in Granville displays numerous family photos with Christian Dior, in which the garden holds an important place. The family gathered there, decorated, flowered, and transformed it into a haven sheltered from the wind. Madeleine Dior passed on her passion for roses to her son, who enjoyed imagining floral motifs. Christian Dior named more than 50 dress models after roses. The couturier said that his life at the villa made him want to create flower-women and corolla dresses.
