At the Cité du Train-Patrimoine SNCF, you can visit a 1935 Sprague-Thomson engine from the Paris Metro, restored to its original condition. Very reliable and robust, these metal trains built between 1910 and 1935 remained in service for 75 years. In second class, however, the wooden benches were relatively comfortable. The closing system of the doors was noisy and dangerous for the fingers. The M. 1354 car ran on line 9 (Pont-de-Sèvres-Mairie de Montreuil) until April 1983. The interior walls bear the logo of the Compagnie du chemin de fer métropolitain de Paris (CMP), one of the ancestors of the RATP.
