A climate nuanced by altitude

The village of Sainte-Agnès in the Alpes-Maritimes department is subject to a Mediterranean-type climate. It is nuanced by the locality's altitude (2,296 ft / 700 m) and its mountainous environment. The summers are hot and dry (73.4 to 75.2° F / 23 to 24° C on average in July-August) and the winters rather mild (46.4 to 50° F / 8 to 10° C on average in December, January, February). Even though Sainte-Agnès experiences dry weather 185 days a year, the village has an annual average of 13 inches (332 mm) of rain.
