Known for its military abilities during the reigns of Louis XIV and Napoléon, the Comtois horse is now a draft horse, emblem of Franche-Comté. Particularly rustic and hardy, it is not afraid of the cold and can stay outside all year round. In Brevans, in the Jura department, Julien Dugois and his father continue to maintain the quiet and hardworking race with 60 Comtois draft horses. They take their horses to the streets of Dôle with a hitch and make the equids participate in the maintenance of green spaces.
