A castle and a medieval garden
0
0
The former castle site of Sainte-Agnès is now open to the public all day, all year round, for a tourist and educational circuit. The free entry allows visitors to discover the ruins of the medieval castle built on the site of a Roman castrum. Destroyed following an order by Louis XIV, the fortress stands on the rocky peak that dominates the current village. Its ramparts shelter a small medieval garden created by the Les Peintres du Soleil (Painters of the Sun) association, in which coexist gardens of virtues, tastes, smells, and a fountain of life.
