A tourist crossroads in the Verdon

Moustiers-Sainte-Marie is located at the meeting point of the main tourist routes of the Verdon, downstream from the famous gorges, at an altitude of around 2,066 ft (630 m). Since 1997, the village of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department has been one of the 46 municipalities of the Verdon Regional Nature Park and hosts its Maison du Parc (Park's house). Such particularity has earned Moustiers-Sainte-Marie national recognition for the remarkable character of its natural, cultural, and landscape heritages.
